Beyond aesthetically beautiful events, I am often called upon to create special moments where my couples and their loved ones are fully connected to the experience. I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and have loved weddings for as long as I could remember. But it was never just about the elaborate scene. To me, it was always about the special moments shared between family and friends.

My passion for relationships led to my bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management. I use the interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills that I learned all the time in my wedding planning career. Remaining calm comes naturally to me so I thrive in high-stress situations. When my couples are feeling overwhelmed with wedding details, family expectations, moving, and so on, I make myself available to lend a listening ear to help relieve that stress for them. I am always looking for solutions and I like to focus my energy on the positive result rather than any setbacks that inevitably arise.

When I launched Roselite Events in 2018, I wanted my job to be about more than just planning events. Instead, I focus on the moments that will create lasting memories. I examine every detail because I know the celebrations we’re a part of are so much more than expensive dinner parties; they are lifelong memories.

I was born in Iraq, Baghdad, but grew up in Syria before I permanently moved to Edmonton. Growing up, I attended many weddings; I’ve seen all the planning and hard work brides went through. I felt very honoured when brides/families ask me to help in preparation/planning of the wedding. That’s when my love for planning grew. I discovered my obsession grew more when I graduated from the Architectural Technology Program at NAIT. I loved how unique each project was. From planning, to designing, to coordinating, to initiating, and finally to executing; each one was a very special case. The skills I obtained from the program helped me be very successful at my job as a full time Project Coordinator. I realized I wanted to grow and expand my knowledge of planning and coordinating so I wanted to take it a step further in the Wedding Industry so I started planning my family and friends weddings! Then it was time to plan my own wedding and that was the first time I worked with Noha - I absolutely loved working with her. Noha and I share the same passion; we connected instantly. I learned a lot not only from my background experience but as a bride myself and I wanted to help future couples to have the perfect and stress-free wedding they desire.

With my background experience I’ve accumulated in the past couple years, it taught me two things; 1. not everything will go as planned 2. each problem has a solution. With this in mind, it has taught me to strengthen my problem-solving skills and always come prepared with a Plan B. I execute all my plans and projects in a well organized manner, while creating a stress-free environment for myself and my clients. I am very attentive to detail, and great at multi-tasking – two skills in which are important to attain especially when looking at wedding planners. I see myself as an individual whom is very confident, energetic, competent, and easy to talk to. I am always willing to go above and beyond and exceed the expectations of my clients.
